A Message from FFV CEO Peter Filopoulos
Greetings To The Victorian Football Family
Dear Football Family,
I’m delighted to have officially commenced in my role as CEO of Football Federation Victoria (FFV).
I am happy to have returned to my home state to serve Victorian football and am genuinely excited about getting out and about in the community and being a part of it all.
As you may be aware, FFV has a clear agenda to support the ongoing growth and development of our game in Victoria. Indeed, we exist for and because of you - our dedicated clubs and volunteers.
We acknowledge that you are an integral part of Victoria’s social fabric. You bring people together, shape our local communities and play a critical role in assisting FFV in promoting a healthy, cohesive society.
It is my duty as CEO to ensure that as an organisation we are committed to ensuring our clubs remain strong and have the resources and ongoing capability to keep serving our community.
In addition to this, I will ensure our organisation will continue to focus on growing our participation numbers – across all levels, ages, cultures and abilities, and among girls and women where interest has never been stronger.
We acknowledge that this can only happen if our clubs have the facilities and infrastructure they need to grow our number of participants to keep enjoying the game we all love.
We’re also working closely with governments at all levels to harness the richness and diversity of our game and unlocking all opportunities to secure the game’s prosperity.
I’m excited by what the future holds and am looking forward to realising that potential with you and ensuring we are all working to one game plan – the success of our beautiful game.
All the best to you this football season.
Sincerely yours in Football,
Football Federation Victoria
