Manager – Football Strategy & Special Projects

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Football Federation Victoria (FFV) for a Manager – Football Strategy & Special Projects, based on St Kilda Rd. This is a full time role and reports directly to the Executive Manager of Football.

This role is responsible for providing input and direction into the development of the Football Review strategy, including supporting the development and implementation of the community engagement plan, background document review, data collection and analysis and will represent Football Federation Victoria (FFV) as a public face of the project within various consultation forums.

To be considered for this position, you have substantial and proven experience of business strategy development within a large organisation or consultancy environment. You also have experience in advising senior managers on strategic issues and good working knowledge of Football, the landscape, its stakeholders, constituents and members.
Tertiary qualifications in business, sports management, sports science, human movement or related field would be advantageous.

Club Development Officer

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at Football Federation Victoria (FFV) for a Club Development Officer to join the team, based on St Kilda Rd. This is a full time role and reporting to the Football Participation Manager.

This role is responsible for acting as a liaison between FFV, regional associations and metropolitan clubs. The role is accountable for strengthening club relationships, building club capacity, and supporting the growth and development of community football programs and related initiatives.

To be considered for this position you will need to have knowledge and understanding of sporting club structures and knowledge of council policies and processes which directly influence sporting clubs. You will also have the ability to manage conflicting priorities within time constraints and demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing a diverse range of customers. Tertiary qualifications in business, sports management, sports science, human movement or related field would be advantageous.

Registrations Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at Football Federation Victoria (FFV) for a Registrations Manager to join the team, based on St Kilda Rd. This is a full time role responsible for one direct report and the role reports directly to the Executive Manager of Legal, Regulatory and Finance.

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Registrations team to deliver excellent, timely and accurate registrations for clubs and players and accurately report on registration data on a regular basis.

To be considered for this position, you have proven experience in a leadership or management role, strong verbal and written communications skills and sound analytical skills.
Tertiary qualifications in business, sports management, sports science, human movement or related field would be advantageous.

Talent Development Manager Girls

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Football Federation Victoria (FFV) for a Talent Development Manager Girls, based on St Kilda Rd. This is a full time role and reports directly to the Technical Director.

The Talent Development Manager Girls is responsible for providing high quality management of the FFV National Training Centre program for identified female youth players, with the intention of preparing players for relevant competitions, tournaments and Australian selection in consultation with Football Federation Australia (FFA).

To be considered for this position, you hold a FFA Youth B Licence minimum and have demonstrated previous experience in elite youth development. You will also be well organised, possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to prioritise work commitments with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

Skill Acquisition Programs (SAP) Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Football Federation Victoria (FFV) for a Skill Acquisition Programs (SAP) Development Manager, based on St Kilda Rd. This is a part time role initially, and reports directly to the Technical Director.

The SAP Development Manager is responsible for leading, planning, delivering and monitoring all aspects of the FFV Skill Acquisition program, conducted in collaboration with Football Federation Australia (FFA).

To be considered for this position, you hold a FFA Youth C Licence minimum and have demonstrated previous experience in elite youth development. Media Opportunities with FFV Clubs

Football Federation Victoria is the governing body administering NPL Victoria and NPLW Victoria as well as Victorian qualifying rounds of the Westfield FFA Cup.

Clubs require videographers to film matches, photographers to shoot matches and people to run club social media accounts.

FFV Radio is also seeking commentators and analysts interested in volunteering to cover matches across the above competitions in 2018.

These opportunities are ideal for students or media enthusiasts to build a folio, covering competitive and entertaining football competitions.

Students and freelancers are invited to list themselves on FFV's Freelance Media Classifieds where clubs can find them and offer opportunities. Clubs are also invited to list their needs in the classifieds for freelancers and students to inquire about.

Physiotherapists Wanted - Talented Player Development

Physiotherapists wanted for positions within the FFV State Development Program.

This is an opportunity to work within the Victorian Talented Player Pathway and work along side other physiotherapists and allied health professionals in a team environment to assist the development of exciting young athletes.

Student Placement Opportunities: Sport Trainers

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is currently offering exciting opportunities for Physiotherapy/Remedial Massage/Myotherapy university students with a Sport Trainer's qualification to apply for Sport Trainer positions within FFV's Talented Player Development programs.

Sport Trainers would report to FFV Head of Physiotherapy Sharbil Wehbe who would instruct students to assist or complete in general sports trainer roles and responsibilities working mainly with our State Development Program squads.

We are currently looking for physiotherapy and myotherapy/remedial massage students to help with the talented player program. The hours vary as there are a number of programs that require assistance. Students should be comfortable performing the following tasks:

  1. Strapping.
  2. First aid/RICE for injuries players acquire during training.
  3. Exercise program supervision. The exercises will be prescribed by the FFV medical staff.
  4. Assisting injured players with their exercise program. This will be done under the instructions of FFV medical staff.
  5. Occasional massage.
