Program Development Coordinator – All Abilities

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is now seeking a Program Development Coordinator, based on St Kilda Rd. The role is fulltime, reporting directly to the Football Participation Manager.

The role is responsible for providing greater opportunities for people with disabilities to be involved in the game of football in both metropolitan and regional Victoria. This role requires close working relationships with clubs, local councils, State Sporting Associations, Disability Service Providers, Special Schools and a range of other disability organisations and partners.

To be considered for this exciting position, you will possess and demonstrate sound disability and sport experience, knowledge and/or tertiary qualifications relevant to the position (such as sport, allied health, social welfare or education experience) as well as well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills, including an ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

Project Manager - Physical Activity Program

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is now seeking a Project Manager to lead the Physical Activity Program, based on St Kilda Rd and Bundoora. The role is fulltime on a fixed term 18 month contract (with the possibility of extension), reporting directly to the Football Participation Manager.

The Project Manager is responsible for the design and delivery of a new football based program. Working with an early stage program concept, the Project Manager will manage all activities relating to the successful delivery of the program.
To be considered for this exciting position, you will have at least 5 years demonstrated experience in project management roles, along with experience managing relationships between multiple vendors/partners and managing contract/MOUs.

Additionally, you are passionate about the importance of physical activity and providing sport/recreation opportunities for all types of people. Excellent written and verbal skills are also required.
A Degree in Project Management, Health Promotion, Community Development, Public/Business Administration, Sports Management or related discipline is required.

Competitions Coordinator

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is now seeking a Competitions Coordinator to join the Football Operations team based on St Kilda Road. Reporting directly to the Manager - Community Competitions and as part of a small team you will be responsible for structuring, facilitating, coordinating and maintaining all competitions (including the National Premier Leagues) throughout Victoria as required.

You will also be required to coordinate other competition specific events leagues administered by FFV. (i.e., Events can include: Finals, Boys & Girls FC, Gold Medal, Season launch, MiniRoos Galas, Indigenous carnival and also coordinate rescheduling of postponed and abandoned matches).This role will involve liaising extensively with stakeholders (both internal and external, e.g. referees, parents, coaches, club representatives) and applying your time management skills as you will be required to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

To be successful for the exciting position, the successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing a diverse range of customers as well as a thorough understanding and proven experience of competitions based administration in a sports industry. Excellent excel skills are also required.

A tertiary qualification in Sports Management is desirable along with an interest and knowledge of the Victorian football landscape, and or knowledge of council processes with sporting clubs would be highly desirable but not essential.

Media and Communications Intern

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is currently offering an exciting internship opportunity to join the Media team. The internship will include the opportunity to create content for both public-facing documents, graphics and media as well as enhancing internal departmental communication.

Media students with intermediate to advanced skills in the Adobe Suite, namely Photoshop and InDesign are ideal candidates for this role, while proficiency in Premiere Pro is also desirable.

You will also have good organisational and time management skills with the ability to potentially work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

The role represents a good opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and build a folio of work to complement your studies.

Football Federation Victoria will work with the successful applicant to tailor contact hours and role requirements around the intern criteria of their particular educational institution.

Physiotherapists Wanted - Talented Player Development

Physiotherapists wanted for positions within the FFV State Development Program.

This is an opportunity to work within the Victorian Talented Player Pathway and work along side other physiotherapists and allied health professionals in a team environment to assist the development of exciting young athletes.

Student Placement Opportunities: Sport Trainers

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is currently offering exciting opportunities for Physiotherapy/Remedial Massage/Myotherapy university students with a Sport Trainer's qualification to apply for Sport Trainer positions within FFV's Talented Player Development programs.

Sport Trainers would report to FFV Head of Physiotherapy Sharbil Wehbe who would instruct students to assist or complete in general sports trainer roles and responsibilities working mainly with our State Development Program squads.

We are currently looking for physiotherapy and myotherapy/remedial massage students to help with the talented player program. The hours vary as there are a number of programs that require assistance. Students should be comfortable performing the following tasks:

  1. Strapping.
  2. First aid/RICE for injuries players acquire during training.
  3. Exercise program supervision. The exercises will be prescribed by the FFV medical staff.
  4. Assisting injured players with their exercise program. This will be done under the instructions of FFV medical staff.
  5. Occasional massage.
