International Transfers

An International Transfer Clearance (ITC) is required for every player aged 10 years or older who is playing for the first time and is not an Australian citizen or whose last registration was overseas. This is a FIFA requirement to ensure players are not under contract or suspended, and is applicable even if the player is an Australian citizen or if they have been registered in Australia or Victoria previously.

To obtain an ITC you simply need to complete the standard registration process through MyFootballClub. The player will be prompted to answer a question on their previous playing history overseas. Once the registration is complete the ITC will need to be requested by the club through the Approve Registration section of MyFootballClub. This process can take up to 30 days if a response from the opposite National Association is not received. Additional documentation (please see Minor International Transfer Certificate section below) is required for minors (players under the age of 18) to ensure that they are not moving to Australia for footballing reasons.

Also we require a copy of a passport for all players coming over from South America.

Minor International Transfer Certificate's:

The FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players stipulates that the International Clearance process applies to any minor - aged 10-18 years of age - seeking to play football in Australia at any level.

All players will register as normal, however, if a minor player is required to have an ITC they will appear in the 'Pending ITC' section of the clubs MyFootballClub account. In order to process the players ITC an application needs to be made to FFV (please see application forms below). These applications once completed, will be sent to FFA and then the application will be sent to the FIFA Players' Status Committee. It needs to be proven to FIFA that the player is not in Australia purely for footballing purposes. Once approved by the FIFA Players' Status Committee, the ITC will be requested from the players former national association and the normal ITC process will take place.

Please select the application that relates to the player needing the ITC:

All applications for Minor ITCs must be submitted with all the required documentation attached to myfootballclub@ffv.org.au. Please ensure that all documents are in the PDF format. The club MyFootballClub user must also 'Request' the ITC on the clubs MyFootballClub account.

If there are ever any uncertainties in regards to players needing an ITC (both adult and minor), please urgently contact the FFV Registrations department.
