Club Environments

Creating Welcoming and Inclusive Football Clubs

The creation of welcoming and inclusive club environments is critical to the sustainability of football clubs. All football stakeholders need to take a proactive role in creating family friendly environments as well as promoting positive behaviour by players and spectators by showing respect towards all officials, players and spectators. By doing so it will make football environments more appealing, welcoming and inclusive.

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is being proactive by getting involved in several initiatives that promote positive messages for players, parents, spectators as well as club and match officials.

Below are projects FFV is currently working on that your club can be part of. Various resources are also available to support your club in promoting these messages.

VicHealth Official Supporter Campaign:
For many years, VicHealth and FFV have worked together to promote health and wellbeing, by encouraging everyone involved in football to make safe, positive choices. We are excited to be partnered again to bring football clubs the Official Supporter campaign.

The campaign takes a light-hearted look at some of the choices which football players and supporters make most weeks: what to eat, how much to drink, and how to conduct themselves on and off the field.

This partnership begin in early in the 2008 season and saw all Metro and Regional clubs playing in FFV competitions recieve various posters displaying these important messages. We hope your club continues to promote these messages to all your members and supporters.
