Football Federation Victoria’s (FFV) Elite Development department is currently growing at a feverish rate. With programs being offered for both males and females, FFV are ensuring that all Victorians have the chance to improve, learn and develop the appropriate skills and knowledge required to be an elite footballer.
FFV’s pathway is designed to see the best in Victoria, from as young as 10 years of age, follow a stream that sees them constantly working on their technique and their brain. With experienced footballers and coaches such as Eric Hollingsworth and Harry Bingham providing the framework behind the programs, the best of Victoria really do have a great backbone to work from.
The programs have seen the development of many current Olyroos players, including Fulham defender Adrian Leijer, FC Nuremberg’s Matthew Spiranovic, Melbourne Victory’s Leigh Broxham and Adelaide United’s Kristian Sarkies. The programs include:
• State Squads
• National Training Centre (NTC)
• V>Elite
• Futsal
