CLUBS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN SSG GALA DAYS

Football Federation Victoria invites all registered Small-Sided Games (SSG) clubs to participate in the upcoming SSG Gala Days located at various locations throughout the metropolitan area.

The purpose of the SSG gala days is to provide the opportunity for SSG participants to play SSG in a club v club environment. There will be no points or ladders recorded on the day to ensure that football is played in the best spirit and so all players have a chance to develop and enjoy the gala day atmosphere.

Clubs can register up to two under 7 and two under 8 teams (maximum of 8 players per team) in up to 4 of the available 8 Gala Days. To register, complete the Registration Form and Team Sheets and submit them either by fax on 9474 1899 or email to ssg@footballfedvic.com.au by no later than 5pm Tuesday June 3rd 2008. Spaces per Gala Day are limited so be sure to register as quickly as possible.

Be sure to refer to the SSG Gala Day Club Information Guide supplied for further information.

If you have any questions please contact Salv Carmusciano on 9474 1829 or scarmusciano@footballfedvic.com.au

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

SMALL-SIDED GAMES

Small-Sided Games (SSG) are modified forms of football designed to meet the needs of players aged 5 - 12. The philosophy of SSG focuses on enjoyment and skill development through freedom of expression and limited emphasis on coaching. The smaller sized fields with fewer numbers of players per team encourages more touches on the ball and opportunities for more goals to be scored.
