Wheelchair Football Update - MAY 2008

SOUTH EAST

Round 6 saw a couple of firsts for the South East competition in 2008. We had the first draw of the season with Whitehorse and Nunawading playing out a tense 0-0 draw while Glen Eira nabbed their first win with a 2-0 win over Knox. The players now have a well earned break for the Queens Birthday weekend before getting stuck into the main part of the season. Feedback has been fantastic with all enjoying the experience so far.

Regardless of the results the competition has been fantastic and a lot of fun for all participants and everyone else involved. FFV and SCOPE would like to thank the parents, carers and club members that have given their time and effort so far.

NORTH WEST

It is with great regret that FFV and SCOPE must announce that the North West competition will be put on hold for 2008. Despite heavy promotion by FFV, SCOPE and the clubs involved there were not enough players interested in joining the competition.

Any players in the North West still interested in playing in 2008 can still join the South East competition. Please contact Chris at FFV on 9474 1833 or carena@footballfedvic.com.au or Claire Quilliam at SCOPE on 9894 8966 or cquilliam@scopevic.corg.au to discuss.
