Football Federation Victoria Renews Partnership with Physiohealth
FFV renews partnership for a further two years
Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is delighted to renew its partnership with Physiohealth for a further two years. Physiohealth retains its position as official physiotherapy provider for FFV’s high-performance teams, highlighting the focus on developing the next generations of Matildas and Socceroos right here in Victoria.
As a proactive and dynamic provider of physiotherapy and allied services in Melbourne, Physiohealth has worked closely with FFV and its high performance teams for over 15 years.
Head of physiotherapy at FFV and partner of Physiohealth, Sharbil Wehbe, said he was thrilled to renew the partnership.
“Physiohealth has been involved with both FFV since 2008, so it’s great to continue to give something back and build on this partnership year on year,” Wehbe said.
"By providing proactive, cutting edge physiotherapy services to FFV’s numerous talented player squads (to allow them to perform at their physical best), we are ensuring that Victoria has the best chance to continue producing world class players. Our goal is to help maximise the physical output of players and minimise time lost off the pitch.”
FFV Chief Executive Officer Peter Filopoulos was buoyant upon the re-signing of the partnership.
“I would like to welcome Physiohealth back to our family of official partners, and acknowledge the excellent work they have done with FFV over the past 15 years. Australia is well known globally for being at the cutting-edge of sport science, so to harness that knowledge and expertise for the betterment of our youth development programs just makes sense”
“It is important that FFV fosters these sorts of partnerships in order to provide the best possible chance for Victorian players to trailblaze along the elite pathway.”
