FFV Futsal Referee Development

Futsal referee career development in Victoria begins with the completion of the FFV Futsal Referee Introductory Program (Level 5). Successful participants will receive a FFA Futsal Referee Certificate.

Once candidates have completed Level 5 they must demonstrate all specified Level 4 unit competencies before accepting any referee appointments.

The Level 4 program provides the essential preparation for officiating. Its practical emphasis complements the theoretical emphasis of the Level 5 program. Practical assessments complete the program. Successful participants will receive a FFA Futsal Referee badge and will be certified to officiate at junior level games.

Futsal Referee Course - Bendigo

FFV Futsal travelled to Bendigo recently to conduct a Level 5 – Futsal Referee Introductory course for the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League.

Fourteen participants took part in a course conducted by Anthony Grima (Futsal Referees Trainer) and Chris Ryan (Futsal Development Manager).

David Coward, Zone Development Coordinator for Loddon Malee also took part in the course, assisting in
FFV’s ongoing commitment to develop all aspects of Futsal in Metropolitan and regional Victoria.

Futsal Referee course - Woodend

On Monday 15th September, FFV Futsal completed a Level 5 – Futsal Referee Introductory course in Woodend in order to further develop the current program and the new Futsal Referees in the area.

Anthony Grima (Futsal Referees Trainer) and Chris Ryan (Futsal Development Manager) conducted the course as part of FFV’s ongoing commitment to developing all aspects of Futsal in Metropolitan and regional Victoria.

With 14 participants taking part, the course consisted both practical and theoretical components in order to prepare the new referees for any future appointments to their existing junior Futsal competitions.
 

Completing the last of two sessions of a Level 5 – Introductory course for Futsal Referees, Anthony Grima (Futsal Referees Trainer) and Chris Ryan (Futsal Development Manager) conducted the course as part of FFV’s ongoing commitment to developing all aspects of Futsal in all Metro and regional Zones.

Foddy Kyprian (Zone Development Coordinator - Wimmera) was also fortunate to have participated in the course.

With all 24 participants taking part, it was a very educational program aimed at improving the knowledge and development of referees in Geelong and the surrounding areas.

This course comes on the back of a successful Metro-Western Zone course held in Caroline Springs which saw 15 budding new Futsal referees in attendance.

FFV will aim to run another metro course before the end of the year to aid the rapid growth of Futsal competitions in Melbourne.
