FFV Secondary Schools Futsal Championships


The FFV Secondary Schools Futsal Championships was played out last week at the Oakleigh Recreation Centre and Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre. More than 500 secondary school students both boys and girls from Year 7-12 showcased their skills throughout the four day tournament.
Fawkner Secondary College and Oakleigh Greek Orthodox College took out the title in their respective junior categories while both St Albans Catholic Regional College and Haileybury Girls College had to overcome penalty shootouts to take out the prize for the intermediates.

The senior boys and girls produced quality games by the hour, however it was Penola Catholic College who surpassed the boys group with a sublime performance in their final game against Carwatha College. The senior girls group was a fairly close encounter with St Monicas College defeating Mentone 2 goals to 1.

Football Federation Victoria would like to thank all schools for their participation in the event and look forward to more exciting schools Futsal and football events in the future.

National Schools Futsal Championships - Sydney

Monday 29th September – Tuesday 30th October 2008

The National Schools Futsal tournament will be held in Sydney, hosted by Football NSW in conjunction with Football Federation Australia.

Players identified at the FFV Secondary Schools Futsal Championships and Catholic All Schools Futsal Championships will be selected to trial for a position in a Victorian representative team to compete at this event.

Futsal Clinics

Our clinics focus on teaching students basic Futsal skills whilst providing maximum participation and enjoyment.

• Our clinics can be held on basketball sized gymnasium or netball courts
• We provide all the necessary equipment including balls, cones and bibs

Primary School
• $1.25 per student for a 30 minute clinic
• 1 hour clinic’s will still be booked
• Payment for a minimum of 20 children per clinic is required
• A total of 2 hours must be booked as a minimum requirement

Secondary School
• $3.00 per student per hour
• Minimum of 2 hour clinic
• A minimum charge of 20 students is required
• Maximum of 30 students per 1 coach
