Maxwell Gratton Appointed FFV CEO
Former FFV Employee Returns As Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Football Federation Victoria (FFV) is delighted to announce the appointment of Maxwell Gratton as its new CEO, effective Monday December 12, 2016.
Announcing Mr Gratton’s appointment, FFV President Kimon Taliadoros said “We have been fortunate to find someone in Maxwell who has an intrinsic motivation to contribute to the success of our beautiful game through a shared unity of purpose.
“He has shown us that he holds the same conviction of a bold future for the game which mirrors that of the FFV Board, staff, club members, fans and our volunteers."
Mr Gratton is not a stranger to FFV. Although most recently the CEO of Basketball ACT (BACT), he was previously at FFV for seven years in the roles of Operations Manager (Special Projects and Discipline) and Tribunal and Disciplinary Manager.
Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Gratton said: “I am honoured and excited to have been selected to lead the world game in Victoria. As a Victorian, I am passionate about our beautiful game and its future success.
“Building further on our achievements is a challenge. I will relish and take it on with confidence, ambition and commitment.
"I am determined that under my stewardship, FFV will be excellent on and off the pitch, engaged with football’s stakeholders and the wider Victorian community, and be a sport and organisation that is accessible to all.
"I admire and cherish our football culture, the role it plays in the social fabric of Victorian communities and its diversity."
Mr Taliadoros believes Mr Gratton will approach the CEO position with a “fresh, ambitious and professional attitude.”
“Importantly, Maxwell is known as a skilful and adept communicator who will collaborate across the broad and diverse range of stakeholders involved in Victorian football in a cohesive and intelligent way," Mr Taliadoros said.
“We welcome him with great anticipation."
