North Geelong Warriors launch Soccer Mums Program
First NPL Club to host Soccer Mums Program
Last friday North Geelong Warriors launched the second Soccer Mum’s program in the Geelong region, following on from the success of the inaugural program which is currently being run by Geelong Soccer Club.
FFV Soccer Mums Project Manager Jen Willmott attended last Friday night’s session which attracted a total of nine participants and was run by North Geelong ‘soccer mum’ Nicole Krasic, whose three boys all play MiniRoos football for the Warriors’ community affiliate Elcho Park Cardinals.
Soccer Mums is here and ready for you to come along and join the fun! An initiative by VicHealth, FFV and Melbourne City FC to get mums active in a fun way instead of just standing on the sidelines.
It's an introduction to soccer specifically for mums delivered in a fun, relaxed way where you met other mums and learn basic soccer skills without knowing it (no soccer experience needed)!
The program through the Warriors will be running this term for 6 weeks on a Friday night from 4:45pm at Hurst Reserve in Herne Hill. Sessions will be delivered by Nicole Krasic, who can be contacted directly via email at (firstname.lastname@example.org).
