Skill Acquisition Phase Program (SAP)

What is SAP?

Skill acquisition phase program (SAP) is provided to support coaches and clubs with a guide in the development of players with the fundamental skills used to play the game. This age group 9 - 12 is universally acknowledged to be the optimal learning age for children gaining motor movement skills.

The key aspect of SAP is the learning environment which is created by the clubs and coaches. Players can look to enjoy playing the game while improving the functional skills used to experience football.

Clubs and coaches will be supported with updating and upskilling coaches and the facilitation of coaching courses and accreditation.
