Victorian contingent set to take on nation

Victoria strongly represented as the W-League returns for 2015/16

The Westfield W-League is underway and Victorian players will feature prominently across three clubs.

Melbourne Victory and first-year W-League club Melbourne City will field the majority of Victorian players this season.

Victorian NTC products will play at both Victory and City this season as the next generation of young Victorian talent gets an opportunity on the national stage.

"It is encouraging to see Victorian players getting the chance to play W-League," FFV technical director David Smith said.

"Coupled with this, it is also good to see a number of players from the NTC program who have been invited to participate as train-ons with the Melbourne-based W-League clubs.

"The players will get to benefit from the experience of being involved in a W-League program."
