Victorian Football Enters Bold New Era
New Directors Appointed At FFV AGM
Victorian football is celebrating the beginning of a bold new era following the election of four new directors at the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) annual general meeting last night, Monday March 27, 2017.
Ms Reiko Okazaki, a Barrister on the Victorian Bar, Ms Hanife Ymer, Director at KPMG and Ms Antonella Care, Principal of ConnectPM, Australia's largest health and age care specific project management firm, were elected along with Mr Sezar Jakupi, IT consultant and software engineer. Directors Ymer, Care and Jakupi were elected on four-year terms while Okazaki was elected to a two-year term.
The new directors will provide FFV with significant capability and expertise as the organisation embarks on a new strategic plan under recently-appointed Chief Executive Officer Maxwell Gratton.
Areas such as Government stakeholder relationships, risk and quality, legal, regulatory and governance are all set to be enhanced by the Director appointments.
The election of passionate football people with extensive experience and expertise in the game will serve all of football's stakeholders well as the game continues to grow at a rapid rate in Victoria.
Mr Kimon Taliadoros remains FFV President.
"In addition to the FFV Members reaffirming their commitment to the current board," Mr Taliadoros said.
"The Members have elected three outstanding female directors at a time when the benefits and balance of board diversity and skills are critical to the prudent governance of Australia's largest participant sport."
